Couple's Therapy with Apolo

COUPLES/RELATIONSHIP THERAPY
My approach is less focused on the narrative, and more focused on what is occurring beneath the surface on a nervous system level. I believe (and know from training) that in this space, repair, connection, and love is established.
There is an adage that says we experience emotional damage in relationship — and we also repair in relationship.
Modern couples often find themselves stuck in patterns that feel impossible to shift: the same argument cycling back, distance that grows quietly, intimacy that has gone somewhere neither of you can name. These patterns are not character flaws. They are often the nervous system doing what it learned to do long before this relationship began.
My approach goes beneath the content of conflict to what is actually happening in the room — in your bodies, in the space between you, and in the quality of contact you are able to make with each other. In Gestalt therapy, we call this contact — the moments when we are genuinely present, emotionally available, and attuned to one another. It is within relationship that some of our greatest joy and deepest pain are experienced. It is also where some of the most meaningful repair becomes possible.
Sessions may include conversation, but also breathwork, somatic awareness, movement, and guided touch with your partner. I draw on my background as a Gestalt and somatic therapist, licensed massage therapist of ten years, Kaula Tantra Yoga teacher, and breathwork instructor to offer something genuinely different from talk therapy alone — an approach designed to help your nervous systems find each other again.
I see opposite and same-sex couples in both monogamous and ethically non-monogamous partnerships.
